Lucio Sotte

Graduated in Medicine and Surgery, specialized in Anesthesiology and Reanimation, he studied acupuncture and TCM in Europe, USA and China, and practised in Civitanova Marche where he opened the first Italian public acupuncture clinic of the National Health Service (1981-2003).
He has been teaching acupuncture and Chinese medicine since 1984, also in Universities (Chieti, Milan, Siena, Brescia, Pavia, Ferrara, Florence, Bologna, Perugia, Ancona and Camerino). Head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and teacher at A.M.A.B - Italian Acupuncture School of Acupuncture.
Director of the Foreign Department of the Italian School of Chinese Medicine and the Matteo Ricci Foundation until 2008, he signed memoranda of understanding with the Chinese Universities of Beijing, Canton and Nanjing and with the Middlesex University of London.
Director of the Italian Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine until 2008, he is a member of the International Board of the Clinical Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, of the Journal of TCM, of the Journal of Chinese Integrative Medicine, of the Journal of Alternative, Complementary & Integrative Medicine. He is director of the online journal Olos and Logos: Dialogues of Integrated Medicine.
President of the Commission for unconventional medicines of the Medical Association of Macerata, he is the author of 42 volumes, hundreds of Chinese medicine articles, and of Trattato di Agopuntura e Medicina Cinese in 6 volumi della Casa Editrice Ambrosiana in 6 volumes - Ambrosiana Publishing House.
